Description

The WALX Xcelerator Poles are designed to help you regain balance, build confidence, and walk stronger – whether you’re in rehabilitation, managing a long-term condition, or simply looking to improve posture and stability. Developed in the UK in collaboration with healthcare professionals, these poles combine robust engineering with ergonomic comfort, making them ideal for both recovery and active outdoor use.

Crafted from superior 7075 aerospace grade aluminium, the Xcelerator Poles are strong yet lightweight, with each pole capable of withstanding over 100kg of downward pressure. The secure twist-lock system allows precise height adjustment from 87cm to 125cm, ensuring the correct fit for posture and comfort.

At the heart of the pole is the WALX Ergo Grip™ – a whole-hand ergonomic handle set at 15° with a 12° offset to align naturally with your wrist and hand position. This design reduces strain, encourages a smoother push-off, and spreads pressure evenly across the hand, making it ideal for those with arthritis or reduced grip strength. Optional wrist straps are available for added security, designed to break away instantly in the event of a fall.

Walking with the Xcelerator Poles promotes a natural, symmetrical arm swing, helping to improve posture, balance, and walking rhythm while engaging your shoulders, core, and back. This whole-body movement supports joint health, builds strength, and can aid coordination and motor control – especially valuable for people recovering from surgery, managing neurological conditions, or rebuilding confidence after illness.

Supplied with WALX Stability Rubber Paws for secure traction, you can also choose all-terrain paws for outdoor adventures. Suitable for all three WALX movement phases, the Xcelerator is your perfect progression pole – supporting you from early rehabilitation to more dynamic, independent walking.

Sustainability at WALX

At WALX, we love the outdoors and we care deeply about protecting it. That’s why sustainability is built into everything we do. Our Italian manufacturing partner, Fizan, has taken many steps to reduce their impact on the planet.

Powered by the Sun
Solar panels cover around 60% of their annual energy needs, cutting roughly 25,000 kg of CO₂ each year.

Responsible Materials
Fizan sources their packaging materials from certified suppliers, meeting strict environmental standards and keeping harmful substances out of their products. Packaging is reused wherever possible, and plastic has been minimised in favor of fully recyclable cardboard from FSC-certified forests.

Saving Water
Rainwater is collected on-site to irrigate greenery, and filtered drinking water is provided to reduce the need for single-use bottles.

Discover the WALX Xcelerator Poles

Watch how the WALX Xcelerator Poles combine ergonomic design, whole body movement, and robust stability to support rehabilitation, improve posture, and build walking confidence.

Are the WALX Xcelerator Poles adjustable in height?

Yes. The Xcelerator Poles adjust from 87cm to 125cm using a secure twist-lock system, allowing you to set the perfect height for comfort and proper posture.

What materials are the Xcelerator Poles made from?

They’re crafted from aerospacegrade 7075 aluminium – a lightweight yet incredibly strong alloy designed for daily use and stability.

How much weight can the Xcelerator Poles support?

Each pole can withstand over 100kg of downward pressure, making them ideal for balance, rehabilitation, and more dynamic walking.

What is the WALX Ergo Grip™ and how does it help?

The WALX Ergo Grip™ is an ergonomic handle set at a 15° angle with a 12° offset to align naturally with your wrist and hand position. This reduces strain, promotes smoother push off, and spreads pressure evenly across the whole hand.

Do the Xcelerator Poles come with wrist straps?

Wrist straps are not required, as the Xcelerator Poles are designed for comfortable and secure use without them. However, optional straps are available for those who prefer them, and they clip on easily while being designed to break away instantly in the event of a fall.

What types of tips (paws) do the poles use? Are they replaceable?

The Xcelerator Poles come with stability rubber paws for secure traction on most surfaces. These are replaceable, and you can also choose all-terrain paws for outdoor use.

Helped improve confidence after surgery

I had a total hip replacement 4 months ago and asked if I could use my poles to help rehabilitation which I did after a few weeks! Really helped my confidence and stability and I just walked every day increasing time and distance very gradually.

Would certainly recommend them

I have used my new poles on a group walk and found them very good. They are particularly light and the paws don't slip like my other ones. I prefer the strapless handles as I seem to have a better connection to the poles. Would certainly recommend them.

The handle is so easy on the hands

I love the handles,  they are much better for me than my previous Nordic ones!

The handle is so easy on the hands and I could really move quickly! I really liked the stability.

Poles were a godsend

Having recently returned from 10 days in Iceland, I can report that the WALX Xplorer poles were an absolute godsend.
